Written by The Business of Games Summit is right around the corner. As in, it’s tomorrow, February 22. So, if you plan to attend the event, here are all the details about how we’ll be involved.
The event kicks off at 9 a.m and lasts until 9 p.m. Our role at BOGS begins at 11 a.m., when the exhibit floor opens. BOGS will be held at Baker University Center in Athens, Ohio, and the exhibitors will occupy Ballroom B, on the fourth floor. We’ll be hanging out there from 11 a.m. until the space closes at 4 p.m. For those five hours, you can stop by our booth and play UNDR[H2O]!
We’ve added a lot to the game since we last showed it to the public, and it shows. For the first time, we’ll be showcasing the second level of UNDR[H2O]. Don’t worry; if you haven’t had the chance to step into the first level yet, we’ll have that available to play as well.
Fingers crossed, we may have another surprise waiting for you aside from UNDR[H2O]. But you’ll just have to come check it out for yourself.
This year, we’re also honored to be part of one of the event panels. Tyler and James will join developers from OU’s GRID Lab and Super77 to talk about the benefits and challenges of VR and AR development. We’re looking forward to the discussion, and we hope you’ll join us as Tyler and James take the stage from 12:55-1:50 p.m. in Ballroom A. It’s on the fourth floor, just a room over from where we’ll be exhibiting.
Several of our guys will also be representing groups other than Guesswork. Matt will be back and forth between the Guesswork setup and the “Esports Pavillion” in Baker 242, where the Bobcat Esports club will be demonstrating what it’s all about. Maybe you’ll get the chance to 1v1 him in Overwatch.
Tyler and Courtney will be helping with Game-U, an after-school program where industry professionals teach kids how to make video games. The Game-U booth at BOGS will have students showing off their projects and will give OU students the chance to learn more about available summer jobs.
You can also catch James hanging out with the folks from Super77, a design and animation studio based in Columbus.
