Hello from 2018! Our first update of the year is a big one: We’ll be exhibiting UNDR[H2O] at The Columbus Maker Expo this April, which is unlike any event we’ve presented at before.
The event, referred to as MakerX, is a one-day festival for anyone interested in digital design and fabrication. That’s a fancy way of saying that if you want to see the tech of the future, MakerX is for you. You’ll be able to see live drone racing from Buckeye FPV, BattleBots-style fighters from Robot Academy, art from Fuse Factory, 3D printing from GorillaMaker, electronic music from Bbob Drake, augmented reality from Westerville City Schools, and of course, virtual reality from yours truly. And that list just scratches the surface of the exhibitors that will be at the expo. The MakerX website has a complete listing that it will update as new exhibitors roll in.
If you’re interested in coming to MakerX, it will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 21 at the Reynoldsburg Battelle Fablab and Performing Arts Center. Tickets are free for everyone 18 and younger, adult tickets are $5, and parking is free. MakerX won’t be selling tickets at the door, so you’ll need to pre-purchase tickets at this link if you want to attend. If anything in the previous paragraph piqued your interest even a little bit, we think this would be money well spent.
Since the last build of UNDR[H2O] that we showed off at GDEX and the Business of Games Summit in September, we’ve put some work in to improve the game. We can’t give away too much just yet, but we’re preparing an all new experience within UNDR[H20] and plan to premiere it at MakerX.
We’d love if you came to MakerX, played UNDR[H2O] and checked out the dozens of other exhibitors that will be there to give you a little taste of the future. See you soon!
